“Autumn Leaves” by Frances Hare

Frances Hare, as a Creative Hue artist, embraces and embodies the philosophy of, “Sankofa.” She, no doubt, borrows from traditional forms, in both, her choreography and fiber art, to launch her, yet, non-traditional, organic forays into executing the spectacular. Like the royal traditional, “Kinte” cloth of Ghana, the polyrhythmic dance forms flowing through Frances, take a story telling shape through African or African inspired fabrics, with juxtapositions of color, patterns and textures that give birth to the moment of creation. Frances uses time and syncopated thoughts that brilliantly convey through her mixed media fabric work, timeless, sometimes complex, yet simply beautiful resonating statements of art.
